Sleeps Four in Two Bedrooms.
This Cottage was completed in April 2005 and is named after the Chantey built by William de Wakebridge that once existed on the farm site many years ago.
The Cottage is approached by car via a separate access created solely for the cottages, it crosses through a farm field into a large grit stone walled area (once an orchard), eventually widening out into a car park for several cars. The Cottages are then approached by central steps and gate onto a to a raised patio area with golden Derbyshire gravel with picnic tables and benches overlooking the meadow with splendid views enhanced by the light of Crich Stand and trams on the hillside making this a truly unique property.

The large hardwood front door opens into a cosy living room with some outstanding original features the stoned wall with alcoves to the right, the stone sill and mullion character window, the oak beam scanning the full width of the ceiling and the amazing stone staircase that just juts out from the wall. Notice the quality of the settee and armchair and the well made cottage curtains. To the right through the rustic door is the spacious kitchen with a full range of kitchen units, worktops and accessories including kitchen table and chairs. All the usual facilities are present including microwave, oven, washer, fridge, and toaster. There are two windows one overlooking the patio area and the meadow and a larger character window overlooking the attractive gravel and stone flagged paved yard with patio containers and old stone troughs. This flagged paved yard is reached by leaving the cottage through a large hardwood door.
This whole area is enclosed with a very attractive stonewall and rustic gates. Beyond this area is the farmyard where many different farm activities can be viewed including on some occasions the feeding of the young farm animals including the very active farm cats.
The stone staircase edged by the black wrought iron leads to a carpeted upstairs area with 2 bedrooms and a shower room.
The large double bed room features a character window, with some original stonework still visible, a rocking chair, bedside cabinets, drawers and wardrobe as well as the pine bed.
The smaller fully carpeted twin room has a wardrobe, bedside cabinet, and drawers.
This Cottage has a Shower Room with Toilet and Wash Basin.
The property being set in the middle of the beautiful Derbyshire Countryside is ideally located as a base for a touring holiday and is set in the midst of a plethora of footpaths, which criss-cross the farm.
With attractions of Matlock Bath, The Tramway Village and the Chatsworth Estate a few miles away.
