Sleeps four in two bedrooms.
Lounge spacious enough to accommodate two more on the bed settee if requested.
This Cottage was completed in May 2005 and is named after the Old Manor that existed on the site many years ago.
The Cottage is approached by car via a separate access created solely for the cottages, it crosses through a farm field into a large grit stone walled area (once an orchard), eventually widening out into a car park for several cars. The Cottages are then approached by central steps and gate onto a to a raised patio area with golden Derbyshire gravel with picnic tables and benches overlooking the meadow with splendid views enhanced by the light of Crich Stand and trams on the hillside making this a truly unique property.
The front door opens directly into a very spacious charming beamed lounge and dinning area, there is a three-piece settee, coffee table, TV, DVD, Radio CD player. The whole area is tiled and is perfectly set off by two character windows over looking the attractive gravel and stone flagged paved yard with patio containers and old stone troughs. This flagged paved yard is reached by leaving the cottage through a large hardwood door. This whole area is enclosed with a very attractive stonewall and rustic gates. Beyond this area is the farmyard where many different farm activities can be viewed including on some occasions the feeding of the young farm animals including the very active farm cats.
The very spacious lounge leads to a character kitchen with high ceiling, skylight and beam, character window and woodwork. All the usual facilities are present including microwave, washer, fridge, and toaster etc.
The bedrooms and bathroom are reached by a wooden carpeted staircase, which leads to a redwood floored landing with the original oak beams enhancing the ceilings, these two rustic features are also present in the two bedrooms.
The large double room has bedside cabinets, lamps, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The smaller cosy twin bedroom has a built in wardrobe with a large character sealed door/window overlooking the farmyard. (This was originally the loft door of the old barn).
The bathroom has a bath with shower over, a toilet and washbasin.
The property being set in the middle of the beautiful Derbyshire Countryside is ideally located as a base for a touring holiday and is set in the midst of a plethora of footpaths, which criss-cross the farm.
